Fresnal St. Station is the sixth mission in SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate and the seventeenth mission in SWAT: Elite Force. The SWAT team is needed for a rapid deployment to the Fresnal St. Station where a gang war is happening during the rush hours, injuring many civilians in the process.

Mission Briefing[]

The shit has really hit the fan. Two gangs, one of them definitely the Stetchkovs, are going toe-to-toe in the Fresnal Street Subway Station. We have reports of multiple suspects, heavily armed and a large number of civilian casualties.

A transit cop named Wilkins called in the incident. He counted at least ten individuals, some armed with assault rifles and wearing body armor. Dispatch lost contact with him shortly after he made the call - he may have been injured.

Witnesses say two groups of men opened fire on one another on the platforms during peak hour. Most of the commuters fled but some were caught in the crossfire. It's likely others are hiding.

After the initial skirmish the suspects split up and moved into the areas surrounding the platforms - maintenance tunnels, restrooms, it's like a maze down there. Spotters are still reporting hearing gunfire, so the fight is still going on.

This has already gone too far. We can't let this go on any longer and risk more civilian casualties, or sit by while innocent people bleed to death. Our task is to shut this thing down; neutralize the suspects, rescue the civvies and help an injured officer. Get your gear together and be ready to go in three minutes.

Entries and Snipers[]

There are two possible entrances into the station, either from Fresnal Street or Maxwell Street. Both of them are in the opposite direction on the same level.

Due to the fact that the mission is taking place in the subway, there is no sniper support in this mission.

Map Layout[]

The intel provided on this mission only provide a very high level idea of where the various locations are, while omitting information on the layouts of all the rooms, most notably the maintenance spaces.

Fresnal Street Station is a modern subway station with three floors beneath the ground that has been build on top of the old station from the 1930s. Part of the station is going through some refurbrishement which means there is a lot of clutter and some parts of the station are closed for renovations. Like any other subway station, this place is huge. The upper level of the station is rather simple as it consists mainly on two main entrances to the station: the first one from Fresnal Street and second one from Maxwell Street, ticket offices and stairs leading to the platforms, either Platfrom 1 or Platform 2.

Depite the confusing apperances, the layouts of the lower levels are actually pretty linear, with the Platfrom 1 and the Platform 2 connected via a single maintenance path under the the subway tracks, and various rooms, like restrooms, shops for the commuters, offices, employee lockers and maintenance areas for employees are attached to this linear path. Platform 1 is much bigger than Platform 2 due to its more modern appearance and has many more items around like advertisements, subway maps, vending machines and services for commuters, while the renovations on Platform 2 fill it with a lot of garbage and obstacles. Also most of the lights underneath the subway tracks and on Platform 2 are turned off.

Tactical approach[]

Despite the mission description, the suspects do not fire upon each other and will team up against the SWAT team. The suspects are heavily armed with shotguns, machine pistols, submachine guns and assault rifles. There are also occasional suspects wearing body armors, but no gas masks are present in this mission.

This map can be turned linear if the double door near the Maxwell street entrance is wedged, so follow the path forward and clear the rooms one at a time with flashbang and CS Gas. For the larger rooms that have multiple exits, make sure all door ways are covered before flushing the suspects out. It is advised to enter the mission via the Maxwell street entrance, since the players will need to quickly clear out and block suspects' access to Platform 1 to prevent score penalties due to suspects escaping.

Officer Wilkins will always appear incapacitated near the ticket booth at the Fresnal street entrance or the Platform 1 underneath the Maxwell street entrance.

Changes in Elite Force[]

Trivia[]

  • The ambient soundtrack on lower levels of the station in this mission can be heard in the main menu of this expansion pack.
  • Despite the suspect photo states Anton Georgiev was born on October 18, 1976, the mission briefing actually states he was born in 1968.
