The Colt M4A1 Carbine is a very effective assault rifle first introduced in SWAT 4, firing the intermediate .223 Remington (5.56x45mm NATO) rifle round. In the SWAT: Elite Force mod, several accessories can also be attached, such as suppressor, Aimpoint scope and holographic sight.
In-Game Description[]
The Colt M4A1 carbine is based on the tried and true design of the M16 assault rifle used by the United States Army. The shorter carbine design makes it a more viable weapon than the M16 in close quarters situations. Using 5.56x45mm rifle ammunition in both full metal jacket and jacketed hollow point configurations, the M4A1 carbine is the most powerful weapon available to SWAT officers. It is equipped with a fire mode selector allowing semi-automatic as well as fully automatic firing.

The M4A1 is one of the most effective weapons provided to the team. It provides high accuracy, great stopping power and good recovery, being offset by the recoil of the round. It is a very accurate rifle, capable of putting tight round groups at long range, allowing to neutralize suspects at longer range giving the user an advantage when engagements are at long distances. The .223 Remington round it fires provides a devastatingly effective stopping power, even against armored targets, making it an ideal choice for any situation. It can be brought to bear on target quickly, making it effective on room to room combat, although not as effective as the MP5A4 SMG. It is equipped with a vertical foregrip for controlling the serious recoil of the .223 Remington round. Overall, it is a very effective weapon which can be used in almost any situation the team can face.
